The MCCRAfrica Project is built on collaboration. At its core is network of institutions working together to contribute their expertise, resources, and perspectives to th eprojec. Each institution plays a distinct role, whether advancing research, supporting implementation, shaping policy, or fostering community engagement. Together, they form an ecosystem of knowledge and action, united by a shared commitment to meaningful, measurable impact.

 

The project involves researchers from several institutions including: The University of Leiden (The Netherlands); Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, (Mozambique), Ahmadu Bello University in (Nigeria), University of Buea (Cameroon), Cavendish University (Uganda). Université de Kinshasa (DRC) and ODI Global.

University of Essex

Regius Professor Kristian Skrede Gleditsch (PI) acts as the Director of the project. The project will be housed in the Michael Nicholson Centre for Conflict and Cooperation at Essex, which Gleditsch leads. Gleditsch is a widely cited conflict researcher and has extensive experience in managing and successfully executing large, international, collaborative research grants.

ODI Global
